Wanted: Full Time Handyman (GULFPORT)

Fab Shop seeking to hire for Full time MIG Welding/Fabrication position in South Phoenix/Tempe area. (40th St. and Southern) We build mild steel and stainless steel enclosures and other products of various sizes. $24-28/hr to start DOE Full Time Position is 7am-4pm Monday thru Friday. We are looking for a well-rounded individual that has the following traits: punctual, dependable, shows initiative, works well with others, keeps a clean work environment, and is responsible. Applicants will be given a weld test, so please be prepared if called for an interview. Interviews are by appointment only. Ideal candidate requirements: · 2-3 Years relevant experience · Push/pull MIG welding experience for proper TAC placement with hot TACS · Create fixtures and use jigs · Experience operating Shears, Benders, Cold Saw/Band Saw Hand/air tools and electric grinders. · Fork lift Experience · Current Driver’s license · Supply pick up, product drop offs · Able to pass a drug test · Attention to Detail. Will be working off of CAD drawings to exact dimensions and specifications · Works effectively with minimal supervision. -Maintains good housekeeping practices. -Observes safety regulations and exhibits a high concern for safety. Able to wear safety apparatus/clothing when required. -Must be reliable and dependable. · Reads and understands English · Ability to Lift up to 75 pounds frequently throughout the day. -Prolonged standing, welding while bending intermittently during work hours. -Ability to Bend, stoop, crouch, twist, lean, reach, picks up and lifts raw materials of various weights and of various lengths.

Responsibilities: -Ensuring vehicles are maintained, safe, & clean -Performing preventive maintenance services with little or no supervision and in a timely manner -Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc. -Keeping your work area clean and safe. -Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Qualifications -Experience w/ DETRIOT, CUMMINS, DD15, & after treatment systems -2 years of practical experience with truck maintenance -Valid driver's license required -The ability to solve problems -Excellent communication skills -The ability to work well as part of a team -Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions -Basic computer skillS -Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job -Willingness to travel as necessary -While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg. -Experience w/ DETRIOT, CUMMINS, DD15, & after treatment systems. 40hrs PTO after one year Compensation: DOE/ paid weekly
