An iconic Los Angeles institution is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Beverly Hills. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality. Candidate must have 3 years management experience in a full-service, high-volume, culinary-focused restaurant, and have a valid food handler’s license or ServSafe certification. The Sous Chef will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and excellence in every dish. This position requires the ability to execute recipes, delegate effectively, be proficient on multiple stations and maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment while working 50 hours a week. Key Responsibilities • Assist with the planning, preparation, and production of menu items according to recipe and presentation standards. • Assist Chef and CDC with Managing kitchen team members, including training, scheduling, and performance management. • Assist with purchasing duties such as ordering, storage, usage, rotation, and inventory control. • Minimize and control costs through portion control, minimizing waste, and maintaining high standards of preparation quality. • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas to ensure food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and proper employee presentation. • Create and foster a positive team atmosphere that promotes accountability, collaboration, and excellence in service. • Lead with commitment, integrity, and passion for the craft of cooking Qualifications • Previous managerial or kitchen lead experience preferred. • Proficient in cooking techniques, recipe execution, and expediting. • Ability to direct, delegate, and motivate kitchen staff effectively. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Positive attitude, receptive to feedback, and strong-willed leadership style. • Reliable, efficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Must be proficient with computer systems • Must have open availability
