Being a Respite Companion or Behavior Support Companion is more than just a job, as you will develop a personal relationship with the individuals and families you work with. Essential Duties: • Supervise activities for residents that will increase their cultural awareness and enhance their self-esteem; • Work with the Lead Direct Care Counselor to oversee residents in their day to day routines in the house; • Assist in the delivery of services, and activities for the residents in the program; • Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; • Prepare documents and reports as necessary.
