These are full time year round opportunities with company benefits! Summary/Objective We currently have a full time position available for a Skilled Laborer with Equipment Operator experience. This is a hands-on position requiring strong expertise skills. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for completing work assignments as directed by the Foreman. This is a position that is responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled landscape construction tasks. Education/Experience/Licenses -A minimum of three full years of landscape, equipment operator, general construction experience -Must display proficiency in use of landscape related equipment -Must be skilled in all Equipment Operator basic repair and techniques of the equipment Supervisory Responsibilities None Work Environment -Ability to work in extreme conditions-temperatures may exceed 100 Degrees Fahrenheit -Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended period of time -In this role you may frequently stand, walk, climb or crouch on narrow or slippery surfaces that may have a steep incline -Heavy work. Facilities Maintenance Technician - HVAC Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 Starting Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks a customer-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our facilities. Joining an existing team of facilities staff, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist in day-to-day activities operations of SCC facilities (mainly our Tyler Building) and perform facilities operations support, including renovations, preventative maintenance services, repairs, and new system installations in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting, waste management, and general maintenance. The selected candidate for this position must work on-site and the position does not offer telework options. The ideal applicant has in-shop experience actually working on bikes but not required, and have exceptional mechanical aptitude. We're looking for a highly-motivated individual who's comfortable not only with building and servicing bicycles, but also interacting with our customers and other members of the cycling community. Mechanic tasks include, but are not limited to, full tune-ups and overhauls; rim brakes as well as mechanical and hydraulic disc brake work, derailleur adjustments, wheel truing, and more. All employees perform additional tasks as needed, including but not limited to, taking bikes up and down stairs and on and off racks, housekeeping such as sweeping, dusting, and taking trash out. Comfort on the computer is necessary. The employee must be able to perform some lifting and moving. Specifically, the job requires the ability to lift a bicycle (over 40 pounds) onto and off of an overhead rack, up and down stairs, and to move boxes with racks and bicycles up to 60 pounds.
