Salary: $55,000- $65,000 As a Mid-Level Apparel Technical Designer, you would be responsible for: Posting design sheets onto FTP site and notify vendors for costing. Create and update technical packets in PLM ensuring that all details are commercially viable with the factories and are the most cost effective. Review samples and/or paper patterns from contractors for design accuracy and integrity. Communicate fit comments to overseas and domestic vendors in a timely manner. Execute design and fit intent into bulk production while maintaining quality and cost standards. Lead fit sessions and take initiative as the fit expert of a specific product category or brand. Ensure size and fit consistency within the brand and across product categories. Ensure deadlines are met. Track and manage workflow and workload for own products. Ensure availability of fit models. Build and maintain fit base libraries including sketches and finished garment measurements. Collaborate with product development and design teams on creation of style: from initial specifications and construction detail to fit intent. Foster open communication and team environment with all business partners. Identify and proactively engage business partners when issues arise with recommendations for viable options/solutions. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables you to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management. Requirements Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university At least 3 years related experience and/or training Proficient in use of Illustrator required Working knowledge of Photoshop Strong knowledge in patternmaking, including grading, construction, and fit. Ability to analyze quality and maintain standards with contractors. Ability to produce computer generated technical sketches. Ability to multi-task: Use the combination of organization, time management, scheduling and preparation to get multiple tasks completed by the established deadlines. Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency; strong sense of time awareness. Thorough attention to detail and organizational skills. Technical knowledge of fabrics, finishes, trims, and techniques. We are looking for 2 CAREGIVERS for a 23-year old man with disability, severe cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and exhibiting extremely difficult behaviors and aggression on a sporadic basis. Client is high risk. Both caregivers will be required to assist with transfer and transport to prevent falls and safety hazards. Services are needed on a 24/7 basis in his home and in the community for all activities. Client lives in a lovely family neighborhood, but needs significant supervision, behavior management and support for all tasks throughout the week. CLIENT SPECIAL NEEDS: Client is severely disabled, mostly nonverbal, requiring professional assistance in all of the following areas on a 24/7 basis:  Assistance and supervision to stay safe and away from harm at all times;  Takes medication to modulate behaviors both during the morning, noon and night shifts;  Assistance needed at all times to change heavily soiled clothing, toileting, bathing, eating, and performing basic grooming tasks such as brushing teeth, shaving, dressing, and oiling/massaging skin to prevent skin breakage, and bed/wheelchair repositioning every 2-3 hours;  Client participates in walks, physical exercise, excursion to malls, concerts, grocery store, outings such as swimming, skating, bowling, movies, restaurants, sporting events, park and planning activities (Sports and Learning Complex), active church member, volunteering in the community to feed/cloth the homeless and engages in games and electronics; JOB SUMMARY AND DUTIES:  Client requires professional assistance in staying safe when he becomes sporadically agitated, and may lash out with hitting, kicking, head banging or grabbing, in order to self-calm;  Caregivers assist client in practicing self-care tasks such as teeth brushing, hair combing, and staying on task to practice skills throughout the day.  Caregivers must be able to accompany client to the park, involving walking up to 2 miles per day at the park and to / from the playground where Client visits regularly;  Caregivers must be able to help client remain clean, dry and safe throughout the day during many activities, frequent hand and face washing, clothes changing assistance when needed, prepare meals and clean up and keeping client from handling dangerous items in the kitchen (stove, knives, etc.) or breaking things he encounters. Training will start on: -Saturday 10/4 at 8 AM The substitute caregiver is needed to care for a 60 year-old paralyzed man, while his regular caregiver is on vacation. IMPORTANT: Please note that although this job is labeled as "Full-Time" – if you're an experienced caregiver, then there will be a LOT of downtime. However, you would need to assist the patient whenever needed. The substitute caregiver must be strong enough to move the patient from one side of the bed to the other, in order to prevent pressure sores on the patient's skin. I've had many caregivers who were only a fraction of my weight, and they were able to easily move me from one side of the bed to the other – as long as they used correct nursing methods. During the day, the patient needs to be turned approximately 2-4 times. Overnight, the patient usually sleeps all night with no rotations. Patient has a quiet and easy-going personality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide full-time, live-in caregiving. A Registered Nurse (RN) will visit 3 times per week to manage medications and some toileting. The caregiver must be strong enough and able to turn the patient in bed in order to to prevent the patient from getting pressure sores. The patient has an ostomy for urine. The urine drains into a 2 liter (2L) bag on the side of the bed. You must empty this bag at least 2-3 times a day. A Registered Nurse (RN) usually changes the patient's urinary ostomy appliance. However, you must be able to change the ostomy appliance by yourself if needed. You will be trained on how to do this. The patient can also help provide some limited instructions to you on how to do this. The patient eats about 2-3 times per day and occasionally 1-2 snacks. The foods are in the refrigerator, freezer, or kitchen cabinets. If needed, the foods can be easily microwaved. BENEFITS: -$2,210 (17 days at $130 per day) -MUCH free time! -Your own private bedroom with 32 inch cable TV, walk-in closet, and bathroom -Access to entire home (kitchen, dining room, laundry, etc.). You must provide your own meals.
