The Millwright is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment, machinery and trucks. The right candidate will have the ability to trouble shoot and repair basic to complex systems, as well as experience with basic welding repairs.  The primary duties are to complete all general maintenance and repair work as directed by the Team Leader or Manager. Basic welding repairs; should have knowledge of arc, wire and cutting techniques. Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and uptime. Perform periodic maintenance routines to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail. Maintain operations equipment to achieve optimal performance levels. Work with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs. Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participate in safety program. Schedule make-ready employees as necessary. Maintain an average of 50% of make-readies are market-ready on a monthly basis. Ensure vacant units are “trashed-out” within 24 hours of move-out. Order parts and supplies and maintain inventory, utilizing inventory system. Maintain shop appearance to standards to facilitate quick assessment of supply inventory. Maintain proper equipment, and equipment inventory to ensure warranty compliance. Obtain bids and negotiate prices, as necessary, with vendors and contractors. Coordinate delivery and work schedules with vendors, contractors and On-site Manager. Perform effective emergency maintenance (after hours) as required.
