Daufuskie Island, SC, 29915 $22 - $45 / hr Full-Time Paid time off Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dependable Water and Wastewater Utility Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment and distribution systems, as well as wastewater collection and treatment facilities. This role ensures that all systems comply with federal, state, and local regulations to protect public health and the environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants, including pumps, valves, motors, filters, tanks, and related equipment. Monitor and control treatment processes through computer systems (SCADA) and manual inspections. Collect water and wastewater samples for laboratory testing and analyze results to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities: • Safely load and unload granite, stone, and quartz slabs from trucks and containers. • Pull slabs from warehouse racks and move to designated loading areas using cranes. • Verify quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing orders. • Pack and load delivery frames with jobs scheduled for delivery. • Offload slab deliveries; label materials with job numbers and record storage locations. • Consolidate slabs on inside racks to maximize storage and safety. • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided). • Complete daily forklift inspections. • Assist with inventory of slab racks and remnants. • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse, including clearing shop entrances, carts, trash, and hoppers. • Deliver and pick up materials as assigned, moving company trucks as needed. • Support company goals, policies, and safety standards.
