Fabrication Shop Technician (HOUSTON)

Key Responsibilities: Precision Laser Cutting: Operate and maintain advanced laser cutting machines to produce intricate parts from materials like steel, aluminum, and stainless steel with tight tolerances (±0.005” to ±0.010” depending on material). Ensure clean, accurate cuts for prototypes and production runs. Fabrication and Assembly: Perform metal forming, welding (MIG/TIG), and assembly tasks to create custom components, enclosures, and structures. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings to ensure precision. T-Slot Aluminum Extrusion Systems: Assemble and configure t-slot extrusion frameworks for modular structures, such as machine bases, workstations, or custom fixtures, ensuring structural integrity and alignment. Custom Crating: Design and build custom wooden crates and packaging solutions to safely transport fabricated parts, ensuring protection during shipping. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Assist with material handling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance as needed.
