About the Role & Responsibilities Daily oversight and management of all MRI department Clinical, Technical and administrative tasks. Adheres to established Atria MRI Protocols and imaging techniques &  standards of care.  Prepares and positions patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol including proper documentation on images and required body part questionnaires Assumes responsibilities for all MRI department technical work, reviewing exams for quality, completeness, Exam ordered,  checking previous reports/ Dicom File uploads, documents information from and communicates with Reading institutions for routine and Stat reads. Reviews Images for quality and informs referring physicians of Critical findings. Assists physicians during procedures as necessary Keeps records of daily Quality assurance, preventative maintenance  and calibrations as needed, Orders and maintains par levels of inventory for Consumables and other MRI department supplies Will be required to work in case of emergency procedures or when situations arise in the department to help maintain adequate and safe coverage for the department,  Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.  Reports all malfunctioning equipment of assigned areas to Field Service engineer, notifies radiology director.  Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment. Develops/processes images /CDs when requested. Update other departments Care Coordination, ACP’s, Clinicians of MRI  department shortages or disruption of service Manage MRI Department according to standards set forth by local, regional, and national entities ACR , DOH, ARRT   Schedules physicist appointments for Quarterly / Annual equipment acceptance testing, Engages in  technical troubleshooting of Radiology IT issues with Athena, Ambra, Power share and other Atria platforms and escalates to the responsible personnel for resolution.Retrieve, download prior exams, Upload reports to Athena  Perform a variety MRI procedures and functions that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on members/patients of all age groups.  Core Skills: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.   Effective communication skills Self-motivated and results-oriented Desire for personal growth and readiness to tackle challenges Strong attention to detail Team-oriented Requirements Previous experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems required  5-10 years of experience, previous supervisory experience  preferred  Must be a graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.  Registration with Florida Dept. of Health as licensed Radiologic Technologist  Technologist must be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT)MR certified. Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth. BLS certification through the (AHA) American Heart Association is required or must be completed with 90 days of hire. IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-months’ orientation. MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly. What you’ll be doing: •This position is responsible for providing appropriate technological imaging service within the discipline parameters of magnetic resonance.  •The person in this position would be required to work unsupervised while maintaining timely and efficient service in an outpatient clinical setting.   •This position works closely the Diagnostic Imaging team and other departments in order to provide complete patient care. •Works in conjunction with physician to provide MRI and MRA examinations to assure appropriate and effective care to elicit meaningful diagnostic information. •Clinical and Technical:   -Know and understand Hospital, Departmental, and examination protocols.   -Working knowledge of equipment, how to "trouble shoot" equipment, and when repairs are necessary.   -Know how to do QA on films and on equipment.   -Know how to schedule examinations. Review daily scheduled exams for corrections/additions/cancellations.   -Make sure exams are completed to include Teleradiology of films.   -Reviewing and updating departmental policies and procedures.   -Informing staff of new or changed policies and procedures.   -Maintaining staff and physician call schedules.   -Proficient in contrast injections.   -Infection control principles.   -Problem solving skills.   -Safety / patient screening as appropriate.   -Contrast dosage and administration as appropriate.   -System applications are utilized appropriately.   -MRI and MRA studies are performed appropriately. -Responds to patient needs and maintains patient confidentiality.
