An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Space and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment. EDCO is located in Skagit County north of the Seattle/Everett metro area. Skagit County offers beautiful views of Mt. Baker and the Olympic Peninsula, with easy access to an endless number of recreational activities. We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer. Our project engineers work directly with customers and our fabricators to ensure progress on all stages of the project lifecycle. If you are a motivated self-starter, have excellent communication skills, and are dedicated, collaborative, professional, and results-oriented, we think you might be a great addition to our team and would love to learn more about you. This position is part of our Project Management department and will be responsible for coordinating the complete sales, technical and administrative requirements of each project. Qualifications. • Manufacturing, Industrial or Process Engineering experience. • Ability and desire to serve a variety of industrial markets (i.e., aerospace, space and defense, marine & transportation infrastructure, civil construction, etc.). • Experience in sales and cost estimating. • Experience in all facets of project management. • Experience with Autodesk 3-D modeling software. • Familiarity with welding and machining trades/metal fabrication. • Strong written communication skills, including experience with writing work instructions, procedures, and proposals. • Must have a positive attitude, commitment to meeting deadlines and be dependable. • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Specific Activities. Activities include but not limited to: • Estimate work and administer contracts. • Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. • Purchase materials. • Use Autodesk Inventor to create detailed 3D designs for complex projects, specifying dimensions and materials related to the project. • Communicate, consult with, and participate in design and manufacturing support. • Oversee scope and work with a team to manage schedule, cost, risks, and resources. • Lead project meetings and ensure fabrication is to technical documents, plans and specifications. Education and Experience. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a degree in engineering. • Four to ten years related experience and/or training in the fields of project management, construction management, engineering, and manufacturing design; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Work Location. Work is performed on-site. This position requires the employee to work onsite to collaborate effectively with multiple team members daily. Schedule. Monday-Friday Job Type.
