Drum Lessons Available (SF Bay Area) (glen park)

Hi y’all, My name is Jarrett Visher, and I’m a Drum Instructor with the School of Rock San Mateo. I’m a 29-year-old UC Berkeley graduate based in the Glen Park area of San Francisco, and I’m currently offering private drum lessons for youth and adults interested in developing their skills and musicianship on the drum set. I bring 15 years of drumming experience, including private instruction, academic concert band, rock and jazz ensembles, and performing with indie and rock bands. Over the past four years, I’ve taught beginner and intermediate students of all ages, and I love helping others grow their confidence and creativity through music. My lessons are fun, personalized, and client-centered. I focus on timing, rhythm, and getting students “in the pocket” while playing songs they enjoy—in rock, funk, blues, or pop. I also help students build skills in fill construction, improvisation, song learning, and ensemble playing. To support musicality, I often accompany students on guitar during lessons, reinforcing timing, dynamics, and song structure. It is very rewarding learning how to play music in-person and with others, and I hope to provide students with drum set skills that will open a world of creativity and fun.
