Description

We’re looking for an Equipment Operator experienced running wheeled and track equipment (Loader, Excavator etc). The Equipment Operator will be working with Crews on infrastructure construction/ rehabilitation projects in Water / Wastewater facilities. Responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment. The Equipment Operator must also perform daily safety checks and maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels and adding correct fluids as necessary etc. Responsibilities: - Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment in tight spaces and around people and other trades. - Follow all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures while operating equipment - Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of assigned equipment. Clean, lubricate and refill correct fluids as necessary - Effectively work with ground personnel in excavation and installation and efficiently load dumpsters - Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade - Responsible for placement of water, storm and sanitary sewer pipe in excavation - Follow directions of ground crew regarding craning, gravel placement and grading - Work with high efficiency to ensure production is on schedule Requirements: - At least 1 year verifiable experience preferably in and around infrastructure projects including Storm Sewer, Water / Wastewater and man hole installation. - Must have in-depth knowledge of safety requirements and guidelines and practice safety first attitude - Must be willing to work weekends and/or nights when necessary - Team player with professional and courteous attitude to supervisors, co-workers and the general public - Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems - Good physical condition, must be able to work in heat for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs - Reliable transportation to and from work. - Must pass a drug test - Bilingual a plus Benefits: - Competitive wages based on experience - Health care benefits (after probationary period) - Paid Vacation and holidays (after probationary period) Tru Spec Mechanical Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer, offers competitive wages and paid health benefits.
