Tek Spikes is looking for a skilled Python Developer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will design and implement high-quality software solutions using Python to meet our business needs. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other developers to build robust backend systems and integrate various data sources. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and services. Collaborate with data teams to create data processing pipelines and automate data workflows. Implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and backend systems. Conduct code reviews and participate in team discussions to share knowledge and improve coding standards. Troubleshoot and debug applications and optimize performance for high-traffic scenarios. Document code and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer within the team. Stay updated with the latest Python libraries and frameworks to continually enhance your skill set. Requirements Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of professional experience with Python development. - Familiarity with web frameworks such as Django or Flask. - Experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with various data formats (JSON, XML). - Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD tools. - Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. - Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
