Sign on Bonus Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, including those with autism and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will assist clients in their daily activities, promote their independence, and ensure their overall well-being. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive environment that encourages personal growth and development. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences. Provide support in memory care activities to enhance cognitive function and engagement. Monitor patients' health and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Facilitate social interactions and community involvement for clients to promote social skills and independence. Maintain a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, particularly in long-term care settings. Familiarity with care plans and patient monitoring techniques is beneficial. Experience in senior care or memory care environments is a plus. Skills in cooking nutritious meals for clients are advantageous. A compassionate approach to assisting individuals in achieving their personal goals is essential.
