We are a growing real estate management firm seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support our portfolio of residential and select commercial properties in New York City. While the primary focus will be on residential property management, the role also includes exposure to commercial operations, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their property management experience. Responsibilities • Serve as the key point of contact for tenants, ensuring responsive, professional communication and service. • Manage lease administration: new applications, renewals, board packages, and annual certifications. • Oversee rent rolls, track collections, and follow up on delinquencies. • Coordinate with attorneys on legal cases and maintain accurate tracking through Housing Court. • Ensure compliance with residential housing regulations (DHCR rent registrations, Multiple Dwelling Registrations, window guard notices, lead paint disclosures, boiler registrations, violation corrections). • Conduct property inspections and coordinate maintenance, vendor services, and repairs. • Support property operations as needed, including vendor oversight, work order systems, and service contract management. • Assist with financial administration: budgets, A/P and A/R, tenant billings, reconciliations, and monthly reports. • Handle administrative tasks such as mail, filing, data entry, and revenue tracking. Qualifications • 3–5+ years of property management or administrative real estate experience, with strong emphasis on residential. • Familiarity with NYC housing regulations and tenant compliance requirements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required). • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (but not required) • Bachelor’s degree a plus. Compensation & Benefits • Salary range: 65K-$75K, depending on experience level. • Direct exposure to both residential and commercial property management. • Onsite (5 days per week)
