Position: Entry-Level General Construction Laborer Location: San Diego, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $20 - $23 per hour Reports To: Site Supervisor/Foreman Job Summary The Entry-Level General Laborer will perform a variety of tasks to support construction projects under the direction of experienced crew members. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the construction trade, develop hands-on skills, and grow within a supportive, family-oriented company. No prior experience is required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. Key Responsibilities -Site Preparation and Cleanup: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. -Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas. -Assisting Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, masons, and other skilled workers by providing tools, materials, and basic assistance as directed. -Basic Construction Tasks: Perform tasks such as assisting with demolition or basic framing under supervision. -Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety concerns to the supervisor. -Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. -Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive work environment. A candidate that has experience maintaining commercial or residential buildings would be a helpful. Shift hours would be from roughly from 12-5pm, 4-5 days a week. There is some flexibility on times.
