We are a small business with 5 networked computers. We use Microsoft Access to manage our client base. Recently lost our "computer guy" who moved out of state. We have a solid system and a well functioning Access database. Occasionally we will run into networking issues, or need minor changes to the Access database. Thus we seek someone looking for contract occasional work when issues needing attention arise. Must have good knowledge of networking and maintaining the office computers. Required to have working experience using and or working with Microsoft Access databases. Background and references will be checked for accuracy. Pay is negotiable. Qualifications • Prior experience with Odoo ERP implementation or a similar ERP system is strongly preferred. • Understanding of business processes across operations, accounting, and inventory management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and data handling. • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities. Bonus Points For: • Hands-on experience customizing Odoo modules or working with Odoo Studio. • Previous experience in manufacturing, marine industry, or repair/service environments. Day-to-day administration, monitoring, and maintenance related to routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, packet shapers, wireless systems, and circuits. Design, implement, and monitor network systems related to: Cisco network routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WiFi systems, Circuits: WAN/MPLS, internet, replication, SIP, Network VPNs. Assure off-site disaster recovery environment is consistently available. Participate in disaster recovery testing as directed. Provide level 3 technical support and participate in team on-call rotation. Participate in capacity planning, ensuring that systems have the capacity to meet strategic business needs with few or no reliability issues. Work with 3rd-party vendors to procure hardware and software solutions, as well as addressing updates and issues after implementation.
