Job description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential nursing care to patients clinic and surgery center operating room. You will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and support. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Provide wound care, IV insertion, and infection control measures. Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans. Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth. Collaborate with healthcare teams in a Level I Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote their comfort and well-being. Skills Proficiency in electronic health record systems, paper. Knowledge of infection control protocols and best practices. Experience with IV insertion techniques and ventilatory support. Familiarity with coding for medical billing purposes. Ability to administer meds is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills for effective patient education and teamwork. Compassionate approach to patient care, especially in long-term care settings. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments.
