Our menu evolves with the seasons and showcases the best of Hawaii’s bounty, all served in a vibrant, team-oriented environment overlooking the Kings’ Course fairway and lake. As a Sous Chef for Roy’s Waikoloa, here’s a brief list of some of the responsibilities & qualifications: Key Responsibilities: • Leadership & Teamwork: Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the team works cohesively to meet high-quality standards. • Menu Execution: Supervise and ensure the proper execution of all menu items, maintaining consistency and excellence in presentation and flavor. • Training & Development: Mentor kitchen staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining a positive team environment. • Inventory & Cost Management: Assist in inventory control, order supplies, and manage food costs efficiently. • Quality Control: Monitor and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and safety. • Innovation: Contribute to menu development by incorporating local ingredients and creative culinary techniques. ________________________________________ Qualifications: • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. • Culinary Education: Formal culinary training or equivalent experience preferred. • Skills: o Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety protocols. o Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. o Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Passion for Local Cuisine: Deep appreciation for Hawaii’s culinary heritage and local ingredients. • Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to inspire and motivate others. _____________________________________________ Benefits: • $60K-$75K salary based on experience. • Health, dental, and vision insurance. • Opportunities for career growth and professional development. • A supportive and vibrant work environment in one of Maui’s most beautiful locations.
