The Addictions Research Laboratory in the UCLA Psychology Department is looking for individuals age 18 to 65 who smoke cigarettes daily to participate in a study examining an experimental compound, called cytisinicline. We aim to understand its impact on smoking behavior and brain function. Eligible participants will: 1) complete a 2-to 3-week outpatient period, which includes taking cytisinicline or placebo daily, and 2) complete 4 study visits, which include questionnaires, a physical exam, a blood draw, and two MRI scans of your brain. Participation in this study will occur over 4 weeks, and the 4 study visits will take a total of 7.5 hours. Participants will be compensated up to $230 for their time. If you would like more information about the study and complete a telephone screen, please call show contact info and mention the “Smoking Treatment fMRI Study”.
