WE ARE SEEKING VIDEOGRAPHER | EDITOR | GRAPHIC DESIGNER VIDEOGRAPHER/EDITOR Long Island City-based media company is seeking a multi-talented creative for videography AND editing, with some graphic design and social media knowledge; overall bringing ideas to our group and detail-oriented to adhere to brand guidelines and compliance while being ultra creative. We are a hard-working, fun team with clients in the Bronx, Westchester County, Queens and Long Island. Need to be creative, strategic and prepared for change all the time and be able to manage change and work flow dynamics. The following are plus categories. * Valid Driver's License REQUIRED -- If you do not have a driver's license, please do not apply. * Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. * Prefer having own transportation. * Must have transportation to our main location in Long Island City whether by train, car, Revel, Citibike or by your own car. Responsibilities • Creative Videography - what can you bring to the table? What is your shooting style? Are you up on the latest trends? • Competence with gimbal - are you an expert with getting quality B-roll with a creative eye? • Working knowledge of lighting - are you familiar with backlighting, dealing with the sun, keeping faces out of shadows? • Working knowledge of green screen - have you worked with greenscreen often, sometimes or very little? • Working knowledge of working with recording people - what times of recording of people? People sitting still, moving around, one person mic'd up, multiple people mic'd up? • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite Editing - what do you use for editing? • Ability to animate text graphics - can you animate graphics? any motion graphics skills? • Familiar with MotionArray resources • Familiar with Envato resources • Being able to think outside the box • Using Time Wisely Position Requirements: • Working knowledge of differences between YouTube, Facebook and Instagram video formats - can you format videos and shoot with the end medium in mind? • Experience in filming, editing/writing, Adobe Premiere, In-Design, final Cut Pro, Photography • Shooting, Editing and Cutting Out Portraits • Great writing skills, and the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner • Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressure • Do you ever edit content directly on social media? If so, what are your favorite photo editing apps on your phone? ****PLEASE SEND INFO ON WHAT CAMERA YOU SHOOT WITH, WHICH CAMERA DO YOU OWN**** Also please be prepared to edit a video that we send to you and to have a paid 2 day trial. It's difficult for me to tell what part of a project you did from a reel. Did you shoot it, edit it, etc and what resources did you have and how long did it take you. Those things all come into play. Before adding someone to our team, I need to know your skills good, bad and awesome. Really just so I know that it's you who is the one who is the creative mind behind the work. I have a content link ready to send with instructions. The best people who have done this excercise in the past are still with us today, 7 and 8 years later. Any video that is edited, you will be paid for if we use it. If we use it, you will then move to the 2 day trial. WE ARE HIRING NOW.
