Communicating with clients at least every 30-90 days. Reviewing cases to determine the case value, identifying all potential defendants, determining if there is evidence that needs to be preserved and if any experts and/or investigators should be hired. Determining the general strategy of the case depending on the facts. Reviewing and revising demand packages which would include reviewing and summarizing medical records and other documents. Reviewing and revising drafts of complaints, public entity claim forms, case management conference statements, minors’ compromise petitions, and other documents. Attend court hearings as needed, including case management conferences and minors’ compromise hearings. Some supervision of team members. Trustpoint.One is immediately hiring Claims Reviewers for our law firm client in Richmond, Virginia for an upcoming 4 month contract assignment, with an expected start date of July 29th. This entry-level law firm role entails reviewing and processing claims related documentation and medical documentation. The related details are as follows: • The position is a 40 hour per week role with a standard 8:30am-5:00pm (Monday to Friday) work schedule. This is not a “flextime” role, no nights or weekend work required. • The position is a hybrid work assignment and will be one day per week of required in-office work every Wednesday and remote the rest of the time. Prospective new hires should reside and work in the greater Richmond, VA area (or within a commutable distance) to report to the firm office on Wednesdays. • The hourly pay rate is $23/hour, paid weekly. • A Bachelor’s degree is required for employment consideration.
