Job Title: Experienced Chef / Cook (Culinary Lead) This position focuses on advanced cooking, menu execution, quality control, and kitchen leadership, without primary responsibility for general cleaning duties. Responsibilities: Lead and execute all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation. Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring smooth workflow and timely execution of orders. Develop and refine recipes, taste, and season dishes to perfection. Provide guidance and mentorship to kitchen helper staff, ensuring proper techniques and procedures are followed. Manage food inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and food handling standards. Collaborate on menu planning and special event catering. Requirements: Proven track record as an experienced Chef or Lead Cook in a high-volume catering or food service environment. Exceptional knife skills and comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Strong culinary palate and ability to season and balance flavors expertly. Leadership abilities to motivate and guide kitchen staff. Must speak English. Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (SSN and State ID required). Extensive Kosher catering/food service experience is a significant advantage and highly preferred.
