About the Role We are seeking to add an additional Resident Manager for a property in San Francisco. We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and personable Resident Manager to oversee day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on property management and values building a positive community for tenants. Key Responsibilities • Minor Repairs & Maintenance: Perform light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks as needed. Conduct routine inspections to proactively identify maintenance issues. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger maintenance jobs • Tenant Interaction: Serve as the first point of contact for residents for non-emergency concerns, complaints, and maintenance requests. Respond promptly to tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests. • Unit Turns: Assist with cleaning and preparing units between tenants, including minor repairs and conducting move-in/move-out inspections. • Common Area Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and safety of lobbies, hallways, laundry rooms, and other shared spaces. • Vendor Access: Coordinate access for outside vendors and contractors when more extensive work is required. • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to building emergencies and notify the Property Manager or emergency services as needed. • Reporting: Keep logs of maintenance issues, tenant concerns, and supply needs; report regularly to the Property Manager. • Rent Collection Assistance (if applicable): Post notices and communicate with tenants about rent-related concerns as directed. • Ensure building security and enforce building rules. Qualifications • Skilled Tradesperson: Experience in handyman work, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC is highly preferred. Comfortable with light repairs and coordinating maintenance as needed. • Responsible & Reliable: You follow through on commitments and can be trusted to manage the property with minimal supervision. • People-Oriented: Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset are essential. You will be the first point of contact for tenants. • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Able to stay on top of maintenance, tenant issues, and record-keeping. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compensation Partial rent credit on a studio or 1-bedroom unit provided by the building. This accounts for approximately 40 hours of work per month. Additional hours paid at a rate of $19.18/hour.

The Assistant Property Manager provides high-quality customer service by fostering a positive and collaborative relationship with colleagues, vendors, contractors, potential and existing residents, communities, and associated agencies.
