Description: We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and highly attentive male personal care aide to assist a male client with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. This is NOT a housekeeping position – your focus will be 100% on personal care and safety. Important Details: Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - 20 hours per week, start time no earlier than 10:00 AM Location: Private home in Saylorsburg Surveillance: There are cameras in the home for safety. About Client: Diagnosed with Parkinson’s and dementia, with history of stroke (left side affected) Major fall risk – Client may attempt to stand or walk without assistance. You must stay close by and provide supervision during all transfers and ambulation. Uses a foot/ankle brace for dropped foot Difficulty swallowing – all liquids are thickened. Urinary incontinence – assist with changing incontinence pads Needs bathing, dressing, and continence care support About 10–20% assistance required for transfers Walk-in shower with shower chair and grab bars installed throughout home Sit-to-stand machine available (not currently in use but may be needed) Additional Notes: The client’s wife emphasizes the need for an aide who is attentive, engaged, and proactive. Previous caregivers were not focused enough — attention to detail and constant awareness are crucial.
