POSITION DETAILS The recipient of this Grill 225 server's position will be part of our vibrant restaurant service team at Grill 225. Recipients will be responsible for providing professional table service to dining guests by serving our high-quality food and drink products. Recipients will have a strong desire to be guest focused with a willingness to please and exceed the expectations of our guests. Recipients must be caring, friendly, and hospitable with the ability to create positive and memorable interactions with each of their guests. Ideal recipients will have an established working career as a server or service member in a previous upscale restaurant, steakhouse, resort or hospitality related industry. Applicants must have a stable work background with the demonstration of being able to maintain a hospitality position with a previous employer for at least 1 full year. Recipients of this position will have a good wine knowledge, must be detail oriented, confident in speech and highly motivated. POSITION IDEAL REQUIREMENTS Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years experience as a server or similar role in an upscale restaurant or steakhouse. Recipients of this position must have an established work record, with the demonstrated ability to have held a position with a previous employer for at least 1 full year. Recipient must have the willingness to accept detailed structures, protocols, and procedures that are utilized by Grill 225 to ensure consistent and quality associated guest interactions. Recipients must have a good wine knowledge with the technical ability to professionally present wine to guests. Previous wine decanting experience is desired. Experience, ability or willingness to learn how to perform Table-Side service for items such as Flambé or Bananas Foster. Must have the ability to be comfortable with table-side presentations, food handling and cooking. Must have an understanding of the technical service etiquette for American style table service, which will include the proper methods and formalities for properly serving and clearing dining guests. Recipients of this position will be guest services driven, detail oriented, warm and amiable. Must have the sincere desire to serve and please our guests along with an attention to maintain meticulous table detail. COMPENSATION: One of the highest Earning opportunities in the City for individuals who have full-time availability as well as a flexible working schedule. High Season average $150-$800+ per day While gratuities vary by an individual's performance and are not guaranteed by our company, it has been our experience that a Grill 225 server who have the ability to make caring, professional and hospitable connections with their guests, will have the opportunity to make earnings that are at the top of the hospitality spectrum in Charleston - ranging on average from $150-800+ per day. Most commonly, our staff member's earnings are typically in the middle to high range of this earning spectrum at Grill 225. In detail, recipients will be provided base hourly pay. Additional earnings are based on gratuities provide by the guest at their discretion. The level of gratuities received are performance based and are contingent upon the individual's ability to perform their job well with respect to providing knowledgeable, meaningful and courteous guest interactions. Gratuities are based solely on the discretion of the guest. Gratuities provided by guests are the primary portion of a Grill 225 servers earnings.
