In this role, you will be responsible for managing backend development efforts, ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure cloud services that support our products. You will oversee engineering teams, drive key technical decisions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud-based solutions.   The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud computing, backend development, and team leadership. You will be responsible for maintaining technical excellence in backend services, improving system performance, and ensuring seamless integration with other platforms. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment across different groups, and fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency. This role also requires experience in managing complex projects, ensuring cross-functional dependencies are handled effectively, and leading strategic planning for backend architecture development. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage backend software engineering teams to build and maintain cloud-based applications. Oversee the design, development, and optimization of scalable and secure backend services. Ensure backend systems integrate smoothly with other system components and global teams. Drive complex project management efforts, ensuring successful execution of large-scale initiatives across multiple teams. Work with other department leaders to align backend development with company goals and product needs. Manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Set engineering standards and best practices across architecture, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Make key technical decisions related to architecture, technology selection, and development processes. Stay up to date with the latest cloud computing technologies and best practices. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team, develop a plan for people technical and nontechnical skill development. Manage multiple backend engineering teams, ensuring effective coordination, resource allocation, and communication across groups. Implement best practices for cross-team collaboration and streamline engineering processes to improve efficiency. Recruit, onboard, and develop the engineering team members in order to meet current and future talent requirements. Develop and implement strategies for skill development and structured team growth. Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Over 15 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in a leadership role within cloud backend engineering. Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale software projects and teams in a dynamic environment. Profound technical expertise in cloud computing, backend architectures, and leading-edge technologies. Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams. Demonstrated experience managing multiple engineering teams and cross-functional initiatives. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record with DevOps, serverless architectures, and SDN Software Controller Platforms. Proven experience managing international teams, with a strong understanding of cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
