Through programs like The New School, the Cancer Help Program, Healing Circles, and more, we create spaces for connection, learning, and transformation. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re seeking an Event Manager to plan and produce a wide range of in-person and digital events that reflect Commonweal’s values of kindness, consciousness, and service. From intimate dinners and public conversations to multi-day retreats and gatherings of up to 200 people, each event supports our mission of healing ourselves and the earth. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and collaborative – someone who thrives in a mission-driven environment and takes pride in crafting experiences that inspire connection and community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Plan, coordinate, and produce in-person and virtual events of all sizes. • Collaborate with staff across programs and departments to align event goals and logistics. • Manage event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships. • Ensure events embody Commonweal’s welcoming spirit of radical hospitality. • Provide hands-on support for event setup, execution, and follow-up. QUALIFICATIONS • 1–3 years of experience in event production, coordination, or management. • Strong organizational and project management skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Ability to work evenings and weekends for events as needed. • Commitment to Commonweal’s mission and values. • Must be able to commute to Bolinas for event days (approx. 45–50 minutes from Mill Valley or Petaluma).
