We have a warm cozy room for you in West Seattle. It's $650 per month and the utilities are included.. Let me tell you about the room, the house that it's in, the people that are here now, and the neighborhood that we are in. The room is small sized with a "geometrically challenged" (sideways) closet. It's got 2 windows so it's a bright sunny space. It can be partially furnished. (Bed, and dresser). This room comes with an internet connection already in it. The house. Last year we painted the south face of the house. This year we working on the brick for the columns of the retaining wall. However, it's really just a multi-year project on the way towards being phenomenal. The inside of the house is quite nice. To start with, it's a large house - for reference, at one point there were 7 people living here, and you could never find anyone, so when I say large, I mean, that you will never feel cramped in this house. The living room has a nice fireplace, and there is a separate smaller room off to the side for the TV. The house has all the normal amenities, like washer and dryer as well as some other cooler amenities. Let me list a few: There is a trampoline, a ceramics space, Phenomenal art!, the climbing wall in the stairwell (almost 20 feet tall). Oh, and I should also mention that this house has 2 kitchens so neither is overcrowded. As far as the people that are here now. There are four of us presently, and we are looking for a fifth Right now, there is actually no drama, we are all good solid decent human beings, and while we do share some interests, we all have our own things going on in our lives. Oh, and this is a non-smoking , must be vaccinated, no free range animals (as in no animals that will have free run of the house. Let me start with myself. I do architecture as art (maximizing the rental properties I own), I also do open relationships and have spent time studying the biology of longevity (2 years at the U.W. about 5 years ago) Ruth: She works for a non profit in poland, likes to hang out with her boyfriend at his place near the fauntleroy ferry dock and lives on the upper floor of the house. Christine: Lives on the upper floor of the house, and (in her own words) is looking for a proper boyfriend. Madilyn: She works as a stagehand for the local union, and is here for the busy season - she plans to return to vegas in the late fall when things die down here and pick up there. She is in "the large room" on the main floor of the house. As far as us, we are more likely to have a dinner party or a board game party than a beer bust, but we often seem too busy to schedule things. If you are a social type that would be awesome. As far as the neighborhood. We are about a 1 minute walk to the bus, and from there it's 18 minutes to downtown. We are just south of the main West Seattle Junction, where there are things like a local 150 seat community live theatre, several bars, some that are really "dive", and some that are a bit more upscale with live music on the weekends. There are some nice specialty shops there, as well as the requisite safeway and thriftway. We are about 2 miles from a PCC Co-op or a Trader Joes. There are a lot of interesting people in the neighborhood. We have a lady that does innovation consulting, as well as a drummer, and a family where the father has an art degree, and these are just people directly around us. In general the neighbors here are actually approachable and decent human beings. So, thats the room and the environment.
