These are great amps! The Fender Supersonic 22 Combo is identical in size and shape to the Deluxe Reverb, but the SS does a whole lot more. When you use a Supersonic, especially live, you understand how really versatile and kick-ass they are. There are 2 switchable channels. Channel 1 is the NORMAL channel with two footswitch controlled voices, CLEAN and FAT. The CLEAN voice is the same as a Deluxe Reverb. The FAT voice boosts the mid and highs and acts similar to a solo boost. If you're playing live, switching between the CLEAN and FAT voices is a really great feature to have, including with pedal effects. Channel 2 is the GAIN channel and it is a great one. The input signal goes through two cascading gain stages, each with independent controls, followed by a 3 band EQ before reaching a Volume control. There is a very wide range of gain available, something for everyone’s musical palette. 3 more thoughts: First, the spring Reverb is fantastic and delivers that classic Fender Reverb sound. Using an external reverb in the Effects Loop just isn’t necessary. Second, I have played guitar 60+ years and this amp has the widest dynamic range of any amp I’ve ever used. It took me a while to get used to this amp’s dynamics. It is very sensitive and responsive to your touch and control. Third, the specially voiced Eminence speaker was made specifically for these amps. I like changing speakers but with this amp, there is no need. The driver works really well. My Supersonic 22 is in mint condition. Everything is stock except for the new 6V6 power tubes I installed. It all works as it should. There are no dings, dents, scrapes, scratches, or the like. Check out the photos closely. The amp comes with a Fender dust cover and the factory 4 button footswitch (Channel, Normal/Fat, Effects Loop, and Reverb). You might want to know... When Fender introduced the SS line of amps, a problem became apparent with noisy channel switching. As a result, SS amps developed an understandable bad reputation. However, Fender fixed this noise problem. Fender also changed the amp logo on the control panel from italics to a script font to indicate the updated amps. This amp is a script version with no channel switching noise. I like this amp - a LOT. However, I have too many amps and need to sell some off gear.
