Description

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and reliable Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of the company’s day-to-day accounting and payroll functions. This role is primarily focused on full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll processing, with secondary responsibilities that include light order processing and shipping coordination. Key Responsibilities: Primary – Full-Charge Bookkeeping & Payroll: Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Process and administer payroll for all employees, ensuring timely submission and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain and reconcile payroll records, handle employee timekeeping, and process payroll tax filings. Prepare and file sales tax returns and other required regulatory filings. Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships. Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures independently. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. Secondary – Order Processing & Shipping: Process customer sales orders and verify shipping and billing accuracy. Coordinate with the warehouse and shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Provide basic shipping documentation and follow up on tracking as needed. Address minor order discrepancies and shipping issues. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3-5 years of proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper. Strong experience with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Solid understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with order processing and basic shipping coordination is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environment. Knowledge of EDI order processing is helpful but not required. Familiarity with shipping platforms and freight coordination is a plus.
