The first owner purchased the Toyota in August 2006 and owned it for over 15 years. During this time, it was regularly maintained through the Toyota dealer network. The second owner purchased it in April 2022 with only 24,934 miles. During their ownership, the Toyota dealer serviced it yearly, and they owned it for just over 2 years. AlphaCars recently acquired the 4Runner with only 30,251 miles. CONDITION Fantastic condition! The factory-original paint has an amazing glossy shine, with some barely noticeable minor blemishes consistent with low mileage and exceptional care. The interior is pristine; the seats, trim, and switchgear show little to no wear. The engine compartment is exceptionally clean and impresses with renowned engineering simplicity. The underbody condition is consistent with a low-mileage vehicle not used in the winter. During the initial inspection, we observed the presence of light surface rust on the rear axle and some suspension parts, which we cleaned off and treated with chemical rust converter, followed by the application of the WaxOyl clear wax to the entire underbody - the inside and outside surfaces of the frame, the underside of the unibody, and all suspension parts. All enclosed areas were treated as well. FRAME REINFORCEMENT & RUSTPROOFING TREATMENT Following our initial evaluation of the 4Runner, the only area of concern we found was two small sections of the frame beside the transmission bell housing. This is a common condition because Toyota placed the AC condenser drain above this area, allowing water from drains into these sections of the frame rails, leading to rust development. We replaced jeopardized sections of the frame with the cold-rolled SafeTCap pre-fabricated sections. All weld seams were protected with seam sealer, and new sections were painted with weld-through primer and finished to match the frame, protect them, and give a factory appearance. After this, we gave the complete underbody a thorough detailing. We did not use any colored product to "hide" the condition of the metal; we used the clear product so you can monitor the actual condition of the surface beneath. To prevent rust from starting on the rest of the vehicle, the doors, tailgate, hood, hinges, and engine compartment also received this treatment in the enclosed and other carefully selected areas. This 4Runner has now received the best rust-preventive treatment possible, protecting it for many years to come and ensuring a worry-free ownership experience.
