We are a small rapidly growing custom cabinet company (www.snakecrafted.com, @snake.craft) that is seeking skilled carpenters to join our team. We primarily focus on high end residential cabinetry & custom millwork, which we usually install ourselves. This position would focus specifically on installing cabinetry and millwork that we have fabricated (kitchen bathroom, etc.). Extensive experience with installing cabinets in a very high-end residential setting is a must. Hours are typically 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, depending on the job site. Our projects tend to be in San Francisco and Marin, and occasionally jobs in the Sonoma area (must be able to consistently commute to those areas). There are sometimes travel jobs as well - we typically go to Kauai & Sea Ranch once or twice a year for install work, being able to go on travel trips is not required but is a big plus. We're hoping to find someone who enjoys carpentry and building, has a great eye for detail, appreciates design & architecture, has a positive attitude, can work well in small teams but can work independently as well. Beyond that, the ideal candidate has the following: -5+ years experience installing cabinets at a journeyman level -be the lead in a kitchen installation, and provide guidance to apprentices -can competently perform all basic finish carpentry tasks that go along with installing cabinets (ability to level kicks, install baseboard & trim, adjust drawer fronts and doors, install paneling, scribe end panels etc.) -owns all basic hand tools -has reliable transportation to get to job sites -can read basic architectural elevations and shop plans -has high-end residential experience, and knowledge of general high-end residential standards We offer 401k, PTO, and paid major holidays. We are ideally looking for someone 5 days a week, but would definitely consider a 4 day week schedule for the right candidate.
