About Us: We are a growing litigation and immigration law firm located in Great Neck, Nassau County. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Law Clerk / Office Assistant to support our legal and administrative staff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior law office experience who is looking to grow into a more advanced role. Position Overview: You will provide administrative support to our paralegals/office manager and assist attorneys with daily operations. Key Responsibilities: • Front desk support: answering phones, greeting clients, managing calendars • Drafting letters, legal correspondence, and basic court documents • Assisting with the preparation of immigration forms and petitions for USCIS and Immigration Court • Organizing case files and tracking legal deadlines • Calendaring deadlines and reminders • Performing billing, timekeeping, data entry, and general clerical duties • Supporting attorneys and office staff with scheduling and document preparation • Processing incoming and outgoing mail (significant mail/document handling required) Who We’re Looking For: • Quick learner with a positive attitude and willingness to grow • Takes initiative and can follow directions carefully • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Professional phone manner and sound judgment • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general internet use • Prior law office experience is required (preferably one year in an immigration or litigation law firm) • Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required • Familiarity with legal billing programs (e.g., Clio or similar) is a plus, but not required • Self-motivated and able to handle responsibilities independently • This position is not open to licensed attorneys or current law students. Busy bankruptcy firm looking to hire two paralegals Position A - paralegal with experience with Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy matters from start to finish - preparing petition, filing, trustee documents, proposing/amending/calculating plans, preparing motions, objecting to claims. Experience with Pacer/ECF, Word, PDF, Excel. Plus if experience with Bestcase but not required. Position would be part time or full time - to be determined.
