Primary Duties and Responsibilities ● Take food and drink orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude. ● Enter orders into POS systems. ● Knowledge of the menu, with ability to make suggestions. ● Run food to tables and assist wherever needed. ● Check back with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. ● Collect and process payment in a timely manner. ● Complete side work and other projects assigned by management. Amara Restaurant is seeking PM line cooks. The cuisine is Mediterranean upscale casual dining concept revolving around small plates and sharable large plates. The kitchen is brand new built up from the studs for our purpose. This is not a casual Falafel place and we do not serve wraps and fries and such. This is a serious food operation seeking serious people. We are only interested in career minded cooks who care about the food they put out and focus on a continuous improvement mindset. You will need to be willing and able to work a full 40+ hour week with interest, energy and focus. While I do understand the need to for some to work two jobs if you want to work here this will need to be your primary job. My work can go from plumbing to electrical to carpentry to landscaping. We offer a broad variety of home services and the person I am seeking should be well rounded and able to figure their way through a variety of customer needs. This person should be able to perform complete and clean work for my customers without supervision. You should have knowledge and experience in a variety of work and should also be resourceful in situations that are not familiar with. You should be able to lift 60 plus pounds and able to get up on ladders and down under houses. You may be leading another of my staff some days and others working directly with me.
