The Makerspace Specialist will employ their creativity and intellectual curiosity to develop novel uses of resources to inspire and support student success. The Makerspace Specialist will oversee the District Makerspaces, including the Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) and Ideation Studio, and Fort Steilacoom Makerspace, spaces designed to encourage and facilitate the practical application of STEAM principles in student’s everyday life. The FabLab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology oriented around STEAM principles and DIY skill building. The Ideation Studio is a versatile space envisioned as a comfortable and well equipped ‘third place’ for students to gather for study, brainstorming, social events, and leisure activities. The Fort Steilacoom Makerspace is a well-equipped satellite Makerspace that extends Makerspaces services across the district. This position actively supports and engages in Pierce College’s goals for diversity and inclusion to provide access for our diverse community of learners and to promote the goal of becoming an anti-racist institution. **Looking for a Style Collaborator** (LA/South Pasadena)
4946 Templeton St, Los Angeles, CA 90032, USA
I'm a middle aged guy working in automotive design — creative, well-established, and recently back on the dating scene after a long relationship ended. I’m ready to start fresh, meet new people, and ideally find a meaningful connection. But before I dive in, I’d like to update my look and build a personal style that feels more modern, authentic, and attractive. I’m looking for someone — preferably a stylish, confident woman — to help me explore and refine my image. Think of it as a style reboot with someone whose perspective I value (and whose taste I’d want to impress!). You don’t need to be a professional stylist — just someone with good instincts, an eye for fashion, and the honesty to tell me if something looks good (or not). What I'm thinking: - Start with an initial consultation — 2 to 4 hours - Rate is $50/hour, negotiable depending on time and scope - If it works well, this could become a recurring thing over the next few months We can go through my current wardrobe, hit some stores, talk grooming, maybe grab coffee — whatever helps me feel more confident and dialed-in. Open to suggestions. If you're interested in helping someone turn a corner in both style and outlook — or know someone who might enjoy doing this — drop me a line. Bonus points if you like design, have a sense of humor, and aren't afraid to say "nope" when I try something bad.
