EIMC is currently hiring for the position of Maintenance Technician for properties in Raleigh and Wilmington, North Carolina. The position of Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring apartment units, and other facilities are in good working order. This includes diagnosing and repairing air condition and heating units, electrical appliances, outlets, plumbing, carpentry, locks, and similar repairs. This position also follows a planned preventive maintenance schedule and follows up with residents after repairs are completed. To be eligible for this position, applicants must but be EPA and CPO Certified, have a minimum of (3) three years’ experience in apartment maintenance, provide their own tools, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and willing to work flexible hours, and be on call after hours. Understanding of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with services and repairs. Education SMA Engineering Course (Recommended) BOMA Engineering School (Recommended). High School Diploma. Qualification Able to perform the physical requirements of the position; climbing ladders, bending, stooping., lift/carry minimum of 50 pounds, raise arms over head, perform overhead work, work effectively at heights. Available to work occasional overtime and provide after-hours on-call emergency response. Ability to pass background check and drug test and must be bondable.
