Fetch Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our emergency team in Ft. Myers, FL As a family-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, we offer advanced and specialized veterinary services to our guests and referring veterinarians. Our team of veterinary professionals provide compassionate care and exceptional guest service to our patients and guests alike. The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to pets in critically emergent situations. We are one of the only facilities in the area that has mechanical ventilator, dialysis, and therapeutic plasma exchange capabilities. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to learn the most advanced therapies and practice the highest standard medicine. An emergency veterinary technician plays a critical role in emergency veterinary care, focusing on the initial assessment and prioritization of patients based on the severity of their condition. Shift Differentials: Sunday - Thursday Night differential $4.00 (7:30p - 7:30a) Friday/Saturday Night differential $6.00 (7:30p - 7:30a) Saturday/Sunday Daytime differential $2.00 (7:30a - 7:30p) Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, required Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred Previous experience in specialty and/or emergency veterinary medicine, preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and procedures Excellent technical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Flexibility with working schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts and holidays.
