Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned: Perform an average of 25-35 spay/neuter surgeries on average during each working day, with minimal complications. Perform other surgical procedures as needed. Perform pre-operative examinations and make decisions regarding each animal’s health and suitability to undergo surgery. Provide follow up exams as needed. Record information regarding animal health, treatment, medical history, and controlled substances used in compliance with federal, state, local and other regulatory guidelines. Build effective relationships through positive interaction and communication with clients, staff, and volunteers. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of veterinary protocols and procedures for the clinic. Help to organize and perform vaccination clinics.
