A few months back (March & April) this car started misfiring. After breaking down my mechanic told me that water got into the circuit board (possibly because the cover was not put on properly after I opened the box and rainwater got in). The circuit board has since been dried out, the cover properly put in place, and I have been driving it since - there were 2 occasions when I thought the gas was delayed after I pressed on the gas, but this happened soon enough after I broke down that it could have been paranoia. Something I know for certain is that the brakes will have to be checked out - if the car sits for 2 days the brakes feel stiff at first and then they loosen up and feel normal. In addition to this, after my last mechanic visit in June (Oil change) my mechanic informed me that I should consider a new driver side sway bar link and passenger side CV axle. I purchased this car originally for a business idea of mine that fell through... so I started on converting it to a camper van which I never got around to finishing. There are some stains on the seats which is somewhat expected for a 14 year old work van. This van smelt terrible when I first purchased it because the driver side carpet got wet - I took it out and it smells a lot better but still not perfect (this can also be on account of the sheep wool which the van is insulated with which gives a farm like smell). The best thing about this van is probably the mpgs - for highway miles it is about 30 mpg. 3 of the tires were replaced December 2023 with Cooper tires - the other tire just recently got a nail in it, so it is a brand new Solarus. The spare is in great shape but a large hex bit is needed to get the spare down (I do not have it, but it can be purchased online). Throw me an offer - we can meet at your mechanic so he can take a look. Feel free to email/text/call. If you call leave a voicemail because I don't pick up if I don't know the number.
