Familiarity with load boards such as DAT 360 and Internet Truckstop and other boards is a must. Knowledge of DOT regulations for semi-trucks is a definite plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Communicate with truck drivers and customers via phone or email for dispatching - Relay work orders, reschedule routes, and assist drivers with inquiries - Track drivers’ locations and hours driven to ensure on-time freight appointments - Dispatch drivers on contracted loads, maximizing revenue-generating miles - Maintain relationships with customers, report issues promptly, and stay current on freight trends - Solicit new shippers, check broker creditworthiness, and pre-plan driver assignments - Bilingual skills are a plus but not required REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 3 year of transportation experience preferred - Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills - Ability to work under pressure and bring in new accounts HOURS & COMPENSATION: - Full-time position available immediately, Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3.30 pm If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, reply with your resume to be considered for this exciting opportunity in the transportation industry.
