Purpose: Provides expertise to cross functional teams to facilitate total quality methods associated with raw material and fabrication activities, training, & logistical support.  Monitor the quality of manufactured & purchased products and develop standards and processes for maintaining or improving quality. Uses PPAP/APQP methodology/core tools to ensure the organizational processes are being met, analyze & report results, assist with launch deliverables, update and track open issues. Pay Rate: $22-$27 Responsibilities: PPAP document coordinator, compile all necessary documentation required within each level of PPAP per customer's request. Ensure all documents and customer specific requirements are being met or addressed Qualifies first-piece fabrication product and performs random quality checks as indicated by the quality specifications; has the authority to stop production when needed to correct quality issues Responsible for updating any PPAP documentation to reflect any product or process changes resulting from corrective or preventative actions related to RMAs Support sales with APQP process and conduct Quality portion of APQP approval. Responsible for reviewing and maintaining CSRs (Customer Specific Requirements), reviews for compliance Conducts Product/Process & Layered audits and compiles, evaluates & distributes the results Provide support during internal QMS audits, IATF (3rd party) audits, and customer audits Reviews & evaluates product test reports against the customers' compound specifications Meets or exceeds department KPI’s Maintains records and procedures in compliance with all quality standards and certifications Assists Director of QA, QA Manager, SQE, QA Technicians & QA Inspectors in any duties as requested, participate in QA morning huddles Assist & support Canada, Rochester, & Syracuse divisions and other internal departments as needed Enforces safety policies and practices to ensure culture of health and safety; identifies safety hazards and works with management team on corrective actions Requirements Associates degree (AA) in a technical curriculum or minimum five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with business systems software and Microsoft office programs Knowledge of ISO and/or IATF16949 quality systems Knowledge of statistical concepts (SPC) Proficient in use of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, etc. Strong CAD, blueprint reading skills, including comprehensive understanding of GD&T Trained and competent in complying with the AIAG Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) manual and the associated APQP process Knowledge of IMDS (International Material Data System) and CAMDS (China Automotive Material Data System) and their operations Strong attention to detail Benefits Seal & Design rewards our engaged and talented team with competitive salaries and generous, comprehensive benefit packages which include: · Medical/Dental/Vision Plans · 401(k) and profit sharing · Paid Time Off · Bonuses · Paid Holidays · Life Insurance · Yearly Performance Reviews
