Description

We are looking to build our subcontractor network of field professionals in New York specializing in Environmental and Property Condition Assessments. In this role, you will be instrumental in working alongside our full-time staff to investigate and report assessment work of both environmental conditions and physical property conditions for various projects across the United States. This is a fantastic opportunity in the commercial real estate due diligence industry. Responsibilities Conduct and write dual-scope(ESA/PCA) assignments, integrating environmental site assessments(Phase I's) and property condition assessments(PCAs). Provide solid recommendations and solutions to the BLEW Managing Directors and employees while understanding the assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process. Oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle. Conduct site visits and lead fieldwork activities as necessary. Complete research (historical, regulatory, etc.). Communicate with BLEW employees and subject site representatives. Conduct appropriate site reconnaissance. Data compilation and organization. Prepare quality supporting documentation (site figures, appendices, etc.). Other tasks as assigned by the BLEW Managing Director are associated with the report deliverable schedule and plan. Requirements Ability to travel to regional job sites to perform field site investigations. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in environmental assessments and property condition assessments. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools. Professional certifications, such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), Registered Architect(RA), or Professional Engineer(PE), are beneficial but not required. Radon & AHERA (Asbestos) certifications are beneficial but not required. Knowledge and experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac scopes of work are beneficial but not required.
