Journeyman Carpenter: Job description: Responsibilities: - Perform various carpentry tasks including mold remediation, fixture installation, heavy lifting, flooring installation, construction painting, roofing, stucco, metal stud framing, and general carpentry work. - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the project. - Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. - Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, doors, stairs, and hardware. - Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or structures. - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Journeyperson Carpenter or similar role. - Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work. - Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials. - Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. - Excellent mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions. - Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and manual labor. - Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship. - Good communication skills to collaborate with team members.
