Flooring/Tile estimator (Arroyo Grande)

The Estimator will understand and communicate intent of construction documents. This position will perform a variety of tasks, often changing on short notice. This position reports directly to the President. The Estimator will portray a professional image, while displaying a high level of integrity and professionalism when representing the company to all project related parties. RESPONSIBILITIES  Communicate with general contractors, end users, manufacturer representatives, vendors, suppliers and labor subcontractors  Understand and communicate intent of all construction documents.  Obtain and review plans and specifications  Complete take-offs and prepare bid worksheet  Prepare job costing using “job costing guidelines”  Generate proposals  Conduct job walk of upcoming work when requested  Communicate daily will all company personnel  Other duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager REQUIRED ABILITIES AND SKILLS  Effective verbal and written communication skills  Organize, and problem solve  Strong basic math skills  Be a team player and self-motivated  Follow direction  Solid computer skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook  Solid background in an estimating program  Other skills as needed and assigned **The position of Estimator maintains “NON EXEMPT” status**
