SANTANA - DANCE OF THE RAINBOW SERPENT 3-CD BOX SET - $29 (SANTA BARBARA)

Dance of the Rainbow Serpent is an amazing 1995 3-CD, 34-song retrospective long box set (not the small one) by Carlos Santana that also covers solo projects and appearances with other artists. The 3 CDs are sub-titled: Heart, Soul, and Spirit. It includes a built-in 60-page gorgeous booklet with detailed track listing, song comments by Carlos Santana, musician credits, biographical essay and a poem by Hal Miller, a list of touring band members through the years, and a band/solo discography up to 1995. Almost all tracks are studio recordings, with some of them previously unreleased on Spirit (the 3rd disc). The beautiful cover art was done by Michael Rios and Anthony Machado.
