ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR POSITION All People’s School, located in Berkeley, CA, is seeking a warm, skillful, relationship oriented, strengths-based, organized, creative person who is dedicated to Early Childhood education and the Reggio Emilia approach to join our team of Associate Directors for our Pixar Children’s School (PCS) site. This position is nested in a team of Associate Directors who work in partnership with each other and with the Executive Director of All People’s School. Each Associate Director has specific responsibilities in the ecosystem of the organization. The particular responsibilities of this position emphasize operations - staffing coordination, facilities management, event production, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of PCS. This role includes administration of the early childhood education program at All People's School@PCS, and requires a commitment to continue to grow into the role and learn the school culture, practices and protocols. This Associate Director position, in partnership with the Leadership team, has an essential role in steering the school’s evolution for years to come. The position reports to the Executive Director of All People’s School, and works in collaboration with the leadership team, teachers, parents and children at PCS. The PCS school site currently has 68 children and is licensed for 90. It has 7 classrooms, currently using 6, with children ages 5 mos - 5 years, 19 staff, and operates a full-day program throughout the calendar year. Pixar Children’s School serves the community, as well as families who are employees of Pixar Studios - the current ratio of Pixar employee families and broader community members is about half and half. Specific responsibilities include the following: Work in collaboration with other Associate Directors, Executive Director, Pedagogy Team, and Coaching Program.
