High School English Teacher

Position Overview: We are seeking an innovative and passionate High School English Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and composition, a dedication to student success, and the ability to create an engaging classroom environment. Key Responsibilities:  Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with NY State Next Gen standards.  Foster a love for reading and writing in students.  Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.  Encourage critical thinking and discussion in the classroom.  Participate in collaborative planning with colleagues and contribute to school activities. Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Writing, Master’s preferred, high GPA from a competitive college  3-5 years of teaching experience  English teaching certification in New York State preferred  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Passion for teaching and inspiring students.  Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
