About Our Neighborhood: Our neighborhood is culturally rich and diverse; a short walk to Berkeley Bowl, Ashby BART, the Thai temple, and Berkeley Zen Center; as well as the Tool Lending Library and Ashby Stage. Room: A private upstairs fully furnished room (10x11) with everything you need away from home including quality bedding and towels. It has great energy with beautiful hardwood floors, charming attic-like ceiling, very comfortable bed and is artistically painted. Great quiet space for studying or retreat! The House: A large, older craftsman with two inviting, mahogany living rooms and a working fireplace. Enjoy cooking in our bright, sunny kitchen with a new gas stove and water purifier. There is an easy access bathroom and shower on the first floor and, on the second floor, enjoy a relaxing bath in a luxurious claw-foot tub. Our side garden has young trees and an herb spiral with room for your green thumb! There is a washer/dryer in the basement. The house has high speed internet, Comcast digital cable, phone service and easy street parking. This is a pet-free household. Logistics: $1,300 plus utilities for a single, available January 1st! Available shorter term (2-3 months) or longer possible. Move in requirement is first month rent and utilities plus deposit. Deposit required to reserve your space. Paypal, Zelle or Wise preferred.
