Description

About the position The LPN position involves providing post-operative care for patients who have undergone plastic surgery. The role is essential in ensuring patient comfort and recovery in a specialized surgical environment. Shifts: 4:00 p.m. - Midnight & Midnight - 8:00 a.m. Responsibilities • Provide post-operative care to patients following plastic surgery procedures. No more than two patients per shift. • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team. • Assist in patient education regarding post-operative care and recovery. • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation. • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requirements • Current LPN license in the state of Louisiana. • Experience in a surgical or post-operative care setting, preferably in plastic surgery. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical staff. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Nice-to-haves • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
