We aim to surprise and delight, to connect and enlighten. After all, it's the Georgian way. General Overview: Chama Mama is looking for a passionate and dependable Baker to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in producing high-quality baked goods that reflect our commitment to excellence, consistency, and care. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in precision and detail, and thrives in a collaborative environment where every team member contributes to an exceptional dining experience. General Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare, shape, and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked items according to established recipes and production standards. Maintain consistency in product quality, taste, and presentation across all batches. Operate and maintain bakery equipment, ovens, and mixers with attention to safety and proper technique. Monitor proofing times, baking temperatures, and overall product readiness. Maintain an organized and sanitary workspace in full compliance with DOH and company standards. Label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products properly. Assist with daily production schedules and communicate any delays or challenges proactively. Support special orders, catering, and large-scale production needs when required. Participate in menu development and seasonal updates when invited. Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless service flow and timely production. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and respect for all team members. Qualifications: Minimum 2–3 years of baking experience in a professional environment (restaurant, bakery, or catering preferred). Strong understanding of dough fermentation, shaping, and baking fundamentals. Excellent time-management and multitasking skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time. Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and temperature control standards. Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive team culture.
